Magnus Chronicles
I was pretty stoked to read about Will and Tessa's kids before I came upon the Bane Chronicles and this short story about James. Sure, I haven't finished it yet but that also comes on the heel of a story about Will's dad and learning that I positively hate him, too. I'm guessing the play here, now, is going back to the Dark Artifices.
Although, I will say, it's interesting to learn that the "Herondale" trait of golden eyes is not only just a few generations old but links to Tessa's demonic heritage.
